Troubleshooting
My phone is carrier-locked
Locked phones can't use other networks' eSIMs until unlocked.
Phones bought on contract or from a carrier are sometimes locked to that carrier. A locked phone may let you install an eSIM but refuse to connect with it.
- iPhone: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock. “No SIM restrictions” means unlocked.
- Android: ask your carrier; the setting location varies by manufacturer.
Only your carrier can unlock your phone. Many do it free once your contract is paid off.
